I started my journey into fitness at a young age, playing sports like hockey, basketball, track and field, BMX bike riding, aggressive rollerblading, and snowboarding. As I got older, I continued snowboarding but didn't play as many of the other sports. My fitness goals changed. I worked my way into a first responder role as a Volunteer Firefighter. Being a firefighter is what really pushed me into working out. Knowing that every call you respond to not only involves a person in crisis who is relying on your physical ability to possibly save them, but your team is also relying on you not to fail. Going in together and coming out together becomes a way of life. Maintaining the level of fitness required to do your job and support your team becomes a priority. As I continued into my career, becoming a Correctional Officer required the same kind of dedication. I maintain my fitness to ensure that all those who rely on me know I won't let them down—whether they be coworkers, family, friends, or a stranger on the side of the road. Maintaining fitness gives me the strength to help. Becoming a coach and being able to help clients achieve the goals they set out to reach and push themselves to do so is really rewarding. I love the energy of the gym, the social aspects of it, and the building of both team and personal goals. Being able to share knowledge and see progress is such an amazing reward.

I remember always wondering if I was good enough or if I could do that. The gym and fitness allow you to prove, with every single workout, what you are. I love working out, and I love challenging myself with new skills and then developing them. Going from a home workout to wondering if a gym would be for me to becoming a passionate member of the gym community has been a journey.

The gym lets you let go, crush whatever you're dealing with, and puts you in a place of "me vs. me." It really pushes you to get what you need. Walking out after every workout, I always feel accomplished because I just accomplished something. I got comfortable with the uncomfortable and came out better for it.

Why do I coach? I coach because I want to build you the same way my mentors and coaches built me—into the best version of yourself. Fitness is an essential part of our lives, and sometimes we don't know where to start or need a little push through a plateau. Whatever the reason is that you walked through that door, I want to help keep you on track and consistent in your journey. We all have barriers—let's take them down together.
